Hardeep Singh Nijjar, wanted Khalistan Tiger Force, shot dead in Canada

According to officials, Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar, one of India’s most-wanted terrorists who carried a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head, was killed outside a Sikh worship centre in Canada.

The officials said Nijjar was found dead inside a car with bullet wounds in the parking lot of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey around 8:30 pm (local time) on Sunday.

The reward announcement came around three weeks after the NIA filed a charge sheet against him and three others in connection with an attack.

According to the NIA, Nijjar was also promoting the secessionist and violent programme of pro-Khalistan group, ‘Sikhs for Justice’ in India.

His death was announced by Sarbraj Singh Kahlon, a community journalist via a twwet which read:

It is with great sorrow that we report the tragic incident where Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Director of SFJ in Canada & President of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the gurdwara at 8:27 p.m. Witnesses reported that two gunmen fled after… pic.twitter.com/bpBivrlB0V
