The US actor was charged with involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting a cinematographer on a film set two years ago.
Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty to felony charges of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting of a cinematographer on the set of a Western movie, according to court documents. He waived his first formal court appearance.
Baldwin, along with a weapons supervisor, was charged with felony involuntary manslaughter in the shooting of Halyna Hutchins, who died shortly after being wounded during rehearsals in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Baldwin agreed to forfeit a hearing to have his rights explained to him.
A preliminary hearing within a few months to determine whether there is probable cause to proceed to trial is likely going to be the case as prosecutors and defense attorneys prepare.
Baldwin’s pretrial release conditions include a prohibition on alcohol consumption and against any possession of weapons, including firearms.
“Defendant is permitted to have contact with potential witnesses only … in connection with completing the Rust movie and other related and unrelated business matters,” state District Judge Mary Marlowe said.
The order issued underscored, however, that Baldwin “is not permitted to discuss the accident at issue” with those potential witnesses.
The charges against Baldwin, a lead actor and co-producer on Rust, and armourer Hannah Gutierrez Reed are punishable by 18 months of jail time and a fine of $5,000 under New Mexico law.
Authorities stated that Baldwin was pointing a pistol at the deceased when the gun went off, killing her and wounding director Joel Souza.
