Alan Fisher, an Irish chef based in Japan, has broken two Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by a person.
This development was revealed by the GWR recently via its website.
Fisher cooked for 119 hours 57 minutes to surpass the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.
Also, the Irishman claimed the record for the longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
Fisher undertook both record attempts back-to-back and spent over 160 hours straight in the kitchen.

The Tokyo resident broke the records at his restaurant, Kyojin Stewhouse, where he sells traditional Irish meals. Fisher embarked on the challenge to recover from pandemic hardships that nearly shut down his business.
To break the records, Fisher prepared over 550 kg of food and 3,360 portions of 32 Irish recipes.
According to him, support from his local community kept him going through fatigue and hallucinations.
He said: “I was representing myself, my family, and Irish food, and sharing our story. I couldn’t give up. That was the only option.”
Guinness has however commended Fisher’s “incredible feat of endurance.”
