The poll that was conducted by Research Co., reveals that 75 percent of Canadians would take COVID-19 vaccine if available. The percentage is a bit higher than what was obtained when Canadians were polled on the same question in April.
The latest poll reveals that more B.C. residents are considering a vaccine with no fewer than 80 percent polled to say they would either “definitely” or “probably” get one.
However, 15 percent of Canadians polled to say they’d “probably not” or “definitely not” get a vaccine if available while 11 per cent said they weren’t sure.
Since no COVID-19 vaccine is available, Canadians are taking other precautions to guard themselves from COVID-19.
About half of Canadians reveal they put on a mask whenever they go out.
The President of Research Co., Mario Canseco in a news release said: “There is a big gender gap when it comes to wearing protective masks outside the home.
“While more than half of women in Canada (57 per cent) are not leaving their home without a mask, only 39 per cent of men are partaking in the same behaviour.”
Also, approximately two-in-five Canadians disclose they always clean any groceries they buy while 23 percent reveal they’re not ordering takeout because they’re scared of infection.
