According to reports, former Oakville teacher who made headlines with her large prosthetic breasts will return to the classroom this September in Hamilton.
Inhalton.com reported that Kayla Lemieux, a former educator at Oakville Trafalgar High School who was asked to proceed on paid leave by the Halton District School Board (HDSB), will teach students of Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School.
In a memo sent to parents by Hamilton school Principal Tom Fisher, he talked about the preparations being made for Lemieux’s arrival and notified parents that there could be “protests” and “disruptions” over Lemieux at the school.
Fisher wrote: “We are writing to you today because we anticipate the school your child is attending this year, Nora Francis Henderson, may receive some level of public attention, and we want to communicate what this means for you, your children, and our school.”
Fisher stated that the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board has an “obligation to uphold individual rights and treat everyone with dignity and respect” and that the school will communicate with parents to ensure student safety.

The controversy over Lemieux’s tight clothes that showed off large prosthetic breasts commenced last September and triggered bomb threats against Oakville Trafalgar High School which resulted in a group of parents threatening legal action if the dress code for teachers is not mandated.
After a long discussion on a new professionalism policy that would determine how to deal with Lemieux, HDSB trustees rejected a proposed plan.
While suggesting at the meeting that a new plan was not needed, HDSB vice-chair Tanya Roacha said: “I think it’s been made abundantly clear that we do have the policies, procedures and regulations in place that address all forms of professionalism.”
While emphasizing further about the school’s preparation for the possible controversy, Fisher stated in the memo that the school would have students enter and leave the building “using assigned doors” and they would be “locking the exterior doors during school hours.”
Also, parents will have to call or email the school before coming and will use the intercom system to enter and leave the building.
