Nollywood actress and Deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the recent Lagos State governorship election, Funke Akindele, has deleted all political posts from her Instagram page.
The actress deleted every political post concerning herself and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, after they lost the election.
Her action comes hours after the 2023 gubernatorial elections ended in Lagos amidst reports of thuggery and tribalism.
Funke Akindele lost her polling unit 019, Ita Aro square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos State to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the results from her polling unit, PDP polled 19 votes while APC scored 77 votes. Labour Party polled 3 votes.
