Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has pledged that the National Assembly will support President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during his term in office.
While giving the assurance, Lawan said the 10th National Assembly under his administration would provide Tinubu with the necessary support to ensure the fulfilment of his promises to Nigeria.
He commended Tinubu for his victory and praised Nigerians for their unflinching support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Lawan, the resounding success of the APC in the election is a testament to Nigerians’ trust in the party, which they must not betray.
He stated that Tinubu’s mandate from Nigerians is based on his proven track record and his ability to replicate similar success as President.
He also commended President Buhari for fulfilling his promise of conducting a free and fair election.
