Canada and Bayern Munich defender, Alphonso Davies, has revealed that he would be ‘100 percent’ fit for the World Cup as he works his way back from a hamstring strain he sustained during last weekend’s match against Hertha Berlin.
Davies pulled up with a non-contact injury and held his hamstring as he limped off the field.
Though he admitted the knock was a ‘scary situation,’ he is expecting to be fit in time for the tournament.
He said: “I’m ready to get back on the pitch. Tomorrow I start my running and we’ll see how it is after that.

“There’s still a little bit of pain but overall I feel good, I feel like I will definitely be at 100 percent during the World Cup and will definitely give my all for the national team.”
Canada’s first match at the tournament will be played against Belgium in 13 days.
Davies will be joined by Jonathan David of Lille and Stephen Eustaquio of FC Porto in the squad as Canada seek to get out of a tricky group which features Belgium, Croatia and Morocco.
While talking further, he said: “There’s no pressure on me.
“I know my team has my back and I have theirs going into the World Cup. We know we need to stay connected, come together as one like we did in the qualifying rounds.”
