Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds got a life-threatening polyp removed, thanks to the colonoscopy he underwent with his friend.
Ryan got a subtle polyp diagnosis while his friend Rob McElhenney’ s 3 polyp diagnoses which according to Medics ‘was no big deal’
The 45-year-old actor agreed to a video recording of the procedure after losing a bet with Rob.
According to Ryan, he wouldn’t have agreed to his medical checkup being caught on camera but he also wanted to raise awareness about it.
While talking about the development, Dr Lapook said: “You just interrupted a whole history of a disease, of something, of a process that could have ended up developing into cancer.
“You not only diagnosed the polyp, you take it out.”
He further emphasized the need for Individuals above 45 years old to do routine colonoscopy for early cancer diagnosis.
