A fan of Asake has taken to his Twitter page to compare Asake’s performance to 9ice’s
‘I feel Asake is a more talented and socially accepted 9ice’, @quickiepaedia tweeted.
This generated a throwback of comments from the popular Gongo Aso fans who would not take it lying low.
While reacting, @raheemdickson reacting tweeted: “This isn’t a shade but sake doesn’t have 10% of 9ice’s talent. Asa who? Please DPMO”
Both singers are well known for their Afrobeat, hip-hop, and the Fuji genre. Ahmed Ololade Asake (Asake) started his musical career in 2018. His ‘lady’ album in 2022 launched his career and his newly released ‘Mr money with the vibe’ gave him a no 7 world billboard chart and no 25 UK album charts.
Alexander Abolore Akande ( 9ice) in 2008 released ‘Gongo Aso’ and has won many awards since then.
Rasaq tweeted: “Our people know how to create shallow arguments under the guise of fanship. Everyone deserves their flowers. 9ice remains a musical force. One of the best to have happened to us. There are times and seasons. Asake is having his time and this shouldn’t even cause any play.”
