6 Ways To Tell When They’re Not Into You, By Stanley Ugagbe

More often than not, people see the red flags in relationships but for some reasons they still stick with the person and try to force things. Relationship is a two-way thing and when it becomes one-sided, break-up is inevitable.

Among others, below are some ways to know he/she is not into you.

  1. You Always Initiate Conversation
Someone who is into you will always want to talk to you as much as you want to talk to them. If you find yourself stressing about how much you’re texting them or you feel weird because you’re always the one to make plans, initiate conversations, make moves, chances are that you aren’t just being paranoid: If the person you’re with is right for you, there shouldn’t be any weirdness about communicating. Don’t ignore this red flag.
  2. They’re Distant In Every Way…Except Sexually
This is another major red flag that they are not into you. You might be more than happy to exchange a smooch while you’re out and about together, but your partner seems reserved, cold, and reluctant to engage in any other issue. They never want to take pictures together or post on social media, and they also seem averse to long, emotional talks. Though some persons are reserved about certain things someone who loves you will naturally or sacrificially tag along with you.
  3. They’re “Busy” All The Time
I often tell my friends that no matter how busy a person is, they will always create time for what they value or who they love. So when your partner becomes too busy to give you attention, they are no longer into you. And often than not, when this happens, breakup is inevitable expect they make amends.
  4. You Don’t Know Their Friends/Family
A few days, I was conversing with church member who was telling of how he has been dating a lady for over three years and the lady has never been to his house even though they live in the same city. I was bemused that a lady, who is a graduate, could go that long without wanting to know where he lives or who his families are. It’s only natural to want someone you like to meet your friends and family, and start being more integrated into your social circles. If it’s been more than a couple months and you’ve let him or her meet your friends, but haven’t been extended the same courtesy, you might want to have a conversation about where things are going.
  5. The Physical Intimacy Is Lacking
Intimacy is a way beyond sex. It’s easy to deceive yourself into thinking that because you regularly have sex, things are going swell. If your partner no longer seems prone to cuddling and staying around you, these are pretty clear indicators that someone just isn’t feeling you. Experts are of the view that little displays of intimacy are extremely important to a healthy relationship, and you’re not “needy” for craving these things.
  6. There’s Never Talk Of The Future
It is important to define your relationship even from the onset so that it will be easy to know when things begin to go sour. Someone who’s into you and feeling confident that things are heading in a good direction will have no problem discussing and planning for the future.
