Sylvester Stallone has covered up the second tattoo tribute to his estranged wife, Jennifer Flavin.
The ‘Rocky’ actor has reworked an image of Jennifer Flavin’s eyes that was tattooed on his arm into that of a horse and leopard motif, a month after Flavin filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage.
While showing off his work on Instagram, Tattoo artist Zach Perez, who earlier covered Stallone’s other Jennifer tattoo with an image of his late dog Butkus, wrote: “Round 2!!!
“Here’s the other arm I covered up and reworked the existing horse. It’s an honor to know he can select anyone but he likes my work enough to come back and do another project!
“I’ll post the 1st session of the dog cover-up soon! As always thanks for the trust (sic)”
The first tattoo cover-up first triggered speculation the marriage of the couple was in trouble.
Meanwhile, a representative of Stallone insisted that when the Expendables star (Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24 and Scarlet, 20, and Jennifer) had no option but to change the inking after amendment proved “unsatisfactory”.
His representative said: “Mr Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable. As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus. Mr Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+”.
After the separation news was confirmed, Stallone said: “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Jennifer later filed for divorce.
