The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Obinna Iyiegbu, also known as Obi Cubana, for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
After his arrest, he was grilled by the EFCC operatives at the Head Office of the Commission in Abuja.
While talking to journalists about the arrest, a source said: “Obi Cubana was arrested and brought to the EFCC Headquarters on Monday afternoon over allegations of money laundering and tax fraud. He is being grilled by detectives as we speak.”
It should be recalled that Obi Cubana buried his departed mother in grand style in Oba, Anambra State, in July.
The public display of wealth during the burial led many to question the source of his wealth.
