President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of Dr Chike Akunyili, the husband of the late Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dora Akunyili.
Akunyili was killed by unknown gunmen in Anambra recently.

He was coming back from Enugu where he partook in an event that was held to honour his late wife when the unknown gunmen struck.
In a statement released by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President assured the family of the departed that those who perpetrated the heinous act would face both the judgment of God and man.
He admonished security agencies and leaders of thought to intensify effort and bring an end to the violence being meted on innocent Nigerians.
The President disclosed he had great memories of working with the late NAFDAC Director-General at the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), and added that Nigerians would not forget the “amazon, who distinguished herself as a courageous, dependable and patriotic citizen.”
