Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has been slammed with two weeks’ wages fine by Napoli for breaching the club’s COVID-19 rules.
Also, Napoli have announced that Osimhen had contracted coronavirus.
A video of Osimhen was shared on Instagram by @equipoarrow while he was partying hard without wearing face mask nor observing social distancing. According to reports, the video infuriated his club coach, Gennaro Gattuso.
In the video, Osimhen was also seen spraying the musician N500 notes.
A tweet from Napoli read: “Victor Osimhen will be fined for not respecting the club’s regulations.
“The birthday videos showing people without face masks and not social distancing has angered the club and Gattuso.”
Since joining Napoli, Osimhen has scored two goals in six appearances for the club. He has not played for the club since October 8, 2020 due to a shoulder injury.
As a result of the positive test, he will not feature in the Italian Super Cup match against Juventus on January 20 in Reggio Emilia.
