The embattled Managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Adam Nuru, has proceeded on a compulsory leave amid allegations relating to marital infidelity which involves him and his former staff, Moyo Thomas.
According to what was gathered, Moyo’s estranged husband, Tunde Thomas, died not too long ago from heart attack after a severe battle with depression when he discovered that the two children from his marriage were being fathered by the FCMB MD.
Tunde’s friends revealed that Moyo had resigned from FCMB and relocated to United States with the two children and later informed Tunde that he was not the children’s biological father.
More than 1,000 people had signed a petition to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and FCMB, calling for Nuru’s sack.
FCMB released a statement saying its Board of Directors had started an investigation into the matter.
In a mail sent to every staff of FCMB recently, Nuru disclosed his plans to proceed on an immediate leave to allow the board to carry out an independent investigation into the matter.
