The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has said some peaches that were imported have been recalled owing to Salmonella contamination possibility.
According to the agency, Prima Wawona, based out of Fresno, California has recalled fresh peaches with different brand names due to potential contamination.
The peaches were sold in units and in packages and between June 1 and August 22, 2020.
Also, the agency said it was carrying its own investigation, which could bring about further recalls.
Furthermore, the agency is investigating an outbreak of Salmonella illness connected to red onions that were imported from the United States. The onions have affected the health of no fewer than 379 people in Canada.
