Biden reveals his plans for vaccination

U.S president elect Joe Biden has revealed how he intends to spread the vaccines for covid 19. Biden’s swift action will be helpful in reversing the original failure of the government’s national vaccine rollout program that failed to release millions of doses during a delicate period when the virus was at its deadliest stage. These doses were surprisingly left in storage. Biden’s revelation comes just a day after he launched an economic rescue plan that will cost $1.9 trillion.

Biden’s team has said that it has found suppliers who can work with within the federal Defense Production Act. Their job will be to stop possible shortages of needles, syringes, stoppers and glass vials that might hinder the process of getting shots in arms. Vaccination will begin within the first 100 days of his presidency with Americans expected to receive 100 million shots of the vaccine.

He emphasized an earlier promise to extend vaccines beyond nursing home residents and health workers to frontline workers like grocery clerks, first responders, teachers as well as adults over 65.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be under instructions to set up sites to be used for mass vaccination, this sites will include: sports stadiums, community centers and school gyms. He promised that these sites, as well as mobile clinics, will target the communities that are hard hit by the pandemic.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a new strain of the coronavirus that’s wreaking havoc in the United Kingdom could become predominant in the United States by March. The most worrying part about this new variant is that it is highly transmissible. Approximately 76 cases of the new variant had been detected in 10 states in the US.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. has approximately 390,000 deaths from a confirmed total of more than 23 million infections of the virus. The global totals: More than 93 million cases and 2 million deaths.
Global COVID-19 deaths reached the horrific milestone of 2 million, which is roughly equivalent to the entire population of Nebraska. Of those deaths, more than 390,000 have been in the United States.

Princeton University and the University of Southern California have conducted a study that reveals that the effects of coronavirus will lead to lower life expectancy at birth by over a year. America’s Life expectancy for the Latino and the black community can decrease by 30% to 40% in comparison to white populations.

Many Americans will be hoping that Biden’s plan is successful so that coronavirus can be binned to history books.
