The Forbes’ highest-paid YouTube stars of 2020 list had been released and acxording to the list, the number one highest earner on YouTube is a 9-year-old boy who holds the title of highest-paid YouTuber for the third consecutive year.
Texas based child influencer, Ryan Kaji, earned almost $30m annually from “unboxing” and reviewing toys and games on YouTube. He generated 12.2 billion views.
According to Forbes, Kaji made $29.5m (£22m) from his YouTube channel Ryan’s World. He also made an estimated $200m from Ryan’s World branded toys and clothing, which include Marks & Spencer pyjamas.
He signed an undisclosed deal for his own TV series on Nickelodeon.
Kaji started producing YouTube videos in March 2015 after he watched other toy review channels and asked his mother, “How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?”
All earnings were estimated from June 1, 2019 to June 1, 2020.
Jimmy Donaldson, a.k.a. Mr. Beast, came second after earning approximately $24 million with three billion views while Dude Perfect came third earning $23 million with 2.77 billion views.
